Thanks for these links and the kind words,
headdropmark.

I think I'll have to do shovelglove for a few
centuries before I'm buff enough for an 80 pound
clubbell! Wow. Nice to know that there is an upgrade
path, though, I guess. :-)

I personally don't have a problem with the
sledgehammer grip. I guess I should mention that I
have developed some pretty impressive calluses, but I
don't view that as a minus. There's something I like
(besides the price) about using an actual tool vs.
special purpose exercise equipment. It helps the
illusion. But that being said, I have no problem with
people using something other than a sledgehammer for
shovelglove inspired movements or routines. I'm
satisfied and flattered if any little bit helps.

The indian war club stuff is great, and has a pretty
long history, as I understand it. The construction
"how to" link you've given sounds like it might even
beat out the SG for price.
