Yesterday, I helped a friend through his first strongman event training. Although I
hadn't planned to, I wound up doing quite a bit of training myself. I also coined a
self-describing phrase:
All of the toys, none of the talent.
It's way past time I become hardcore, considering I have all the events, etc. There
is no reason for me to be struggling with a 180# log, and missing 190, considering I
can bust out the log any time and lift it. I have been lazy and that is why I am weak
compared to my less well-equipped peers. Every time I am dissatisfied with my level
of accomplishment, I shift to a different style of training, or I acquire new toys. I
now know that I should just get down to it and make my mind up to get STRONG.

Hi Storm :)
I was curious about that kb thing you do. Looked it up and got some
sites with photos, exercises, history etc....
That's *real* strongman "old school"

Reminds me of the ancient pictures of Ringling Brothers Barnum and
Bailey Circus! "Now announcing,,,feats of superhuman strength"
Or does anyone know that great Italian film "La Strada" with Anthony

Quinn, where he breaks metal chains, in the travelling circus?
Now all you need is some Russian dancing bear and the scene is
complete!
Whew! You *are* hardcore :)
Will resume my sg tomorrow afternoon once I am done working at the
Spa.
Dasvedanya.
