Hi Adam, I wouldn't worry too much about the abs. If you're doing the movements even approximately, you should be hitting them, maybe not as targetedly as crunches or something, but enough to get them reasonably fit. Arms and back are the first parts to cry "uncle," but that doesn't mean your abs aren't getting worked, too.
