I love the pictures, especially the caveman doing
crunches in front of perplexed predators. "Homo
erectus" is actually one of the more popular search
terms for people coming to the shovelglove site ("homo
habilus" is big too). I haven't done a whole lot of
research on the subject (just common sense plus the
image worked), so it's nice to see my hunches
confirmed. Might make a fun scenario, too.

As for the paddling move, I've got no problem with it.
I don't hate lying or sitting on the ground per se,
just the general lack of dignity of it. But canoe
paddling is plenty dignified. It's useful, and that's
my criterion. The crunching caveman picture captures
this perfectly: if a movement's not "functional,"
there's something retarded about it. I think I've got
a pretty good idea of how the paddling move works.
I'll give it a try next week. Thanks!

Reinhard
