Hi there
I know one of the principles of the SG was that you did things standing up....but
those were your rules :-) and I ended up with a new movement this week, a sort of
modified Russian twist / kayak paddle. Sit on the floor with the feet flat, kees bent
in a sit up position and upper body inclined back at about 50 degrees. the SG is held
like a kayak paddle and taken from one side to the other, so that the upper body
twists from side to side.
I don't know if I've explained this well - but it is like this :

while holding the SG like a paddle...
This is a great exercise for the abs, plus it is very functional which leads me to

I was reading this and thinking about how the SG ideas mimic what we are looking at
here - primal movements that involve the whole body. The SG emphasises the whole body
in functional movement which ultimately is what we should be aiming for
