Subject: Well, that hurt (but in a *good* way)

Well, I did it.

I finally got around to doing my first shovelglove.

I'm at work, totally alone (we're closed today, so no one is here at
all), and gave myself permission to look foolish or whatever, but just
DO IT. (I bought my sledgehammer over a week ago, and have been pretty
good at making excuses not to start.)

My arms are killing me. It hurts to type this. I'm gonna be SORE
tomorrow. BUT, tomorrow I will do it again. I resolve to do it for at
least the rest of this week. (Then, actually, I resolve to do it again
next Monday...at which point I will probably keep on going, but I have
to know that I have an out. But that's not the nature of the program,
I think -- I'm sure I'll keep it up, but it's a mind game, I think.)

Anyway, I put on some music (a song that I happen to know is seven
minutes, four seconds; I played it twice). And I got going. Several
minutes into it, my shirt fell off of the shovelglove. I had it
wrapped around a few times and tied the (long) sleeves into knots, but
it worked its way off anyway. How do you guys keep the
shirt/sweater/whatever fastened on? And is it okay to just not have
anything wrapped around? It almost seems more trouble than it's worth,
trying to keep the thing on.

I'm rambling, sorry.

I'll try to post tomorrow after.

Michael
