I've used the sledgehammer for something useful on at
least two occasions: to smash a bunch of wood my
upstairs neighbor pulled out for renovations so it
would fit in the trash and to pulverize my downstairs
neighbors aborted plaster art class sculptures.

We're thinking of ripping up the asphalt in our yard
to put a garden or bit of lawn there instead. I'm
thinking we won't need a jackhammer (and my wife
thinks I'm insane).
