But last night, when my arms got too tired, I started messing around with other 'freestyle' moves. One I do, is put the handled horizontally over my shoulders, and then bend at the waist to whatever side the hammer is on, and use my abs to contract it back up. You have to concentrate to not use your arms and just hold the thing for stability. But I can feel it in my sides a bit. I tried some squat moves too, and then I kneeled down (But kept my butt off my heels) and pretended I was rowing a canoe. I've no idea what muscles that'll hit, but it was fun! There's just something about holding a sledgehammer that makes you feel buff. :) Even if you aren't! I made it through 10 minutes last night, so I am getting better. I just gotta keep on doing it.
