....No problem.. I decided against it thanks to Reinhard confirming 
my own thought about the strength of the shaft...

My only obsession now Dee, is to become a whirlwind force of such 
proportions that no man has ever seen!
As for the broom, I think the way that Ariel used it is okay, to 
practice with for the moves, but I'm having a whole new change of 
heart regarding attaching heavy objects which weren't meant to be at 
the end of a Swiffer....So may I suggest you go and get a real 
sledge because you will enjoy the peace of mind that you can go 
whole hog and not feel any shifting around... Forget those teeny 
hand weights..
