I started shovelgloving again this week, nice and slow using the 21-14-7 rep system I described in a previous post, and using just the 12 pounder. I'm surprised at how little I've deteriorated over 3 weeks of relative inactivity. I feel I could easily kick it up a notch, and have to force myself to play it safe. I'm also surprised by how eager I was to start shovelgloving again, how uncomfortable I felt not doing it for 3 weeks. I've never felt that way about any exercise routine before. An incident like this would have been a welcome excuse to quit. My red cat, Gingi, who, strangely enough, synchronizes his horny little cat dances with my shovelglove routines, is also manifestly happy I've started again (I have to make a video of this sometime, it's delightfully absurd). Hope the rest of you are doing ok. Pipe up if you've got stories (or troubles, or questions). Reinhard |
