That's fine. Step right up :)
You can always intergrate the 8 lbs for one handed moves like 
"flip the lever" (one that I never do, because it's just too much 

strain) and graduate up to a heavier one for chopping and fence 
posts etc...
or "hoist the sack"
Also, 10 lb'ders do exist so don't feel the need to flex your 
muscles too much because of some girl! LOL
Maybe you could use the little one when you need to pound chicken 
cutlets....Splat!
